NAPA members receive one issue of the newsletter, as well as any issues of Central Plains Archaeology published during their term of membership (January-December). An annual meeting of members is held in Lincoln each spring.

Membership Application Form

Upon approval of your application you will receive a copy of the bylaws and the most recent copy of the newsletter.

All members are eligible to receive the NAPA Newsletter and other publications, attend and participate in meetings, and serve on committees. All members must also pay annual dues and adhere to the provisions of the bylaws and code of ethics of this organization. Other requirements and limitations apply as follows:

Regular Membership: $25
Is open to any individuals who express a demonstrated interest in enhancing Nebraska archeology and: 1) have earned an MA or MS degree in anthropology or a related supplemental field, or 2) have earned a BA or BS degree in anthropology or a related supplemental field and have worked professionally at least three years in a recognized archeological program, or 3) were the sole or principal author of at least two peer-reviewed articles or one peer-reviewed monograph relating to archeology. Regular members shall have the right to vote on all corporation business and be eligible to serve as an officer or board member.

Dual Membership: $25
Is open to domestic partners who express a demonstrated interest in enhancing Nebraska archeology and are both eligible to become members. Dual members shall have the right to individually vote on all corporation business, attend and participate in meetings, and be eligible to serve individually as an officer/board member. Dual members shall jointly receive one copy of corporation newsletters and communications.

Student Membership: $10
Is open to any individual who is a bona fide registered student in a recognized graduate or undergraduate program in anthropology or closely related field and is interested in enhancing Nebraska archeology. Student members have the right to vote on corporation business or for officers. Bona fide graduate students shall be eligible to hold elected office.

Subscribing Membership: $10
Open to any individual who possesses a demonstrated interest in enhancing Nebraska archeology. Subscribing members are encouraged to participate in meetings and serve on committees. Subscribing members are not allowed to vote on corporation business or for officers and are not eligible to hold elected office.

Affiliated Membership: $10
Open to any individual who is a member of any state or regional archeological society or organization and possess a demonstrated interested in enhancing Nebraska archeology. Affiliated members are encouraged to participate in meetings and serve on committees. Affiliated members are not allowed to vote on corporation business or for officers and are not eligible to hold elected office.

Institutional Membership: $25
Open to any public or private institution.

Joint Membership with Professional Archaeologists of Kansas (PAK): $40
Open to any individual who would normally hold regular memberships in both NAPA and PAK. Joint members are allowed to vote on corporation business and be eligible to serve as an officer or board member. Joint members shall receive one copy of the Central Plains Archaeology journal.
